Full Blast (Brötzmann/Wertmüller/Pliakas) invite me to an evening session after their workshop on improvised music at AdK. I play a short solo after Olaf Rupp in the first set, in the secound set I play with Peter Brötzmann and Conny Bauer. The latter I didn’t know (or only from his duo with Peter in the first set of this very session) – what a splendid musician. The session shows that there are elder musicians who sound young and younger musicians who sound old.

Desalmand: ahoxa II

This is one of the first takes of a series of outdoor recordings. Camera: Ma Raab. Saxophone: me. I can imagine loads of times and places and collaborations for a continuation of this series.

As I want to turn Lump200 live from a laptop act to a band I play some half playback shows. I sing and I talk and my laptop runs my beats. I play in the Panoramabar at Berhain, Berlin, at Dachkantine, Zürich and a living room show at Musikfestwochen Bern. The tiny gig works best.

I play an instrumental/laptop set at Club Transmediale Festival, Berlin. For the last track MC Ono Ngcala joins me on stage. I let CTM and The Wire put an unreleased version of hardlycan put on the compilation for the festival.

I write and produce the music for the Stauffer play Schwanenjagd. Nina Hartwig is the director, we play at Schlachthaus, Bern, Rote Fabrik, Zürich and on two stages in Thurgau. During the time in Zürich I play a late night gig (at Rote Fabrik as well) with Stauffer and a solo laptop show at Rohstofflager. And I am preparing the album release Tapidor. It is the first time I really think that I need a mobile phone..

I start performing live with laptop and electronics. I play at Reitschule Bern, Rohstofflager Zürich, Café Mokka Thun, Boa-Halle Luzern, Klangstation Bonn etc. My alias is are dee.
